First off let me apologize for putting this out way too late. While this is just a game...it also really sucks when you put so much time and effort into something and things just don't work out. While I was admittedly salty, a big congrats goes to Kris, he had a great season. Without further adieu lets cover Championship week, our big winners and those who where less fortunate.

In our Winners consolation bracket lets start with our 5th and 6th place match-up between Seth's Shadow Wizards and Trenton's Duval Sliders, and this one wasn't even close folks! The Shadow Wizards basically assumed the fetal position from the get go and then just went limp for the rest of the week, as he had no players even get close to 20 points to go along with 2 goose eggs. On the other side of things however, Congratulations to Trenton and the Sliders for the 5th place win. This team was led to victory by Isiah Pacheco(29.5), Amon-Ra(22.1), and DJ Moore(30.9).

Now lets cover our two losers bracket games before we get into our Toilet Bowl match-up. In our 7th and 8th place face off it was Pilar and Quan once again. While Josh Allen did his best with 21.16 points it wasn't enough to stop Lamar Jackson(36.34) and the rest of the Lamarvelous Comeback as they but up a week high 166.34 points.

In our 9th and 10th place match between Duval Top Shotta Jean and Daniels Diamond Dawgs both teams started QB's (Herbert, Lawrence) who where inactive for week 17 (probably why they where in the losers bracket to begin with). However it was the Diamond Dawgs and Kyren Williams(30.1) who came away with the W. Suffice it to say both teams will be looking to improve next year.

On to our last place match-up and the winner of the inaugural Golden Gorilla losers trophy!

Delvron's DeezNutz and Kevin's It Hurts Chase-ing the King, while there's not much to mention in terms of players in this game, both teams where on the cusp of a playoff berth yet somehow managed to find themselves here. While 104.7 points was enough to keep DeezNutz out of last place, Kevin's 72.18 however was not. Our leagues first "First to Worst". Congratulations Kevin on the new hardware! May it be prominently be displayed in your house for the next!

On to the more winning side of things. In our 3rd and 4th place contest it was this years Cinderella story, Cory's First Baptist Virginity Rocks, going head to head against Willy and the Duval Generation X. While they are the gum on the bottom of your shoe, DX and Dak where able to put up an respectable 20.3 points followed up by Aiyuk and his 24.4 points...however that's it...those where the only players to get double digits, he even had a gander in the form of the Vikings D. And while boom or bust is what got Willy here, it was Cory's slow and steady methodology that earned him the bronze. Virginity rocks didn't have any 20+ point scorers but his kicker and D where the only players not to get more than 10 points. Congratulations Cory on your 3rd place win and popping your fantasy cherry, mozal tov!

To the main event! While this was a bit of a one sided event, Kris's Endgame was definitely propped by the 40.2 points he had from CeeDee Lamb and a surprise 26.3 from James Conner. Steve and The Motorboaters hope for a second title flamed out and sank to the bottom of the ocean. After tearing it up in the previous two playoff rounds (160.45, 161.9), The Motorboaters failed to have any players put up 20+ point games...starting. This was Kris' third trip to the playoffs and his second podium finish and his first Championship!

Congratulations to our Champ, Congrats to all our winners, and thank you to all of you for making this league so great! Seriously without all of you and the shit talk on the group chats, I wouldn't have wanted to do this website or these weekly recaps. So lets all celebrate our wins, savor your victories and for most of us lick our wounds. Lets get ready for next year and comeback ready for what plans to be our best season yet!

Thank you for a great 2023 season!

Love, Your Commissioner
