Another week down and the further we get...the more it hurts to lose...unless you're on the other end of things, then it's awesome! So lets go over the match-ups and see who fell short and who's ridin' high in this week's review! Also we will look at the week 17 match ups as the outcomes will determine the final league standings. First off lets start with Top Shotta Jean and Delvrons' DeezNuttz, with a combined total of 133.3 this was the lowest scoring affair of the week, both teams had multiple goose eggs and Del had a Gander at Kicker but more importantly MVP candidate B. Purdy threw 4 picks...guess the B stands for bustin nuts, and not in the good way.
Next was Team Ramon and It Hurts. Pilar, who's been on a tear the last few weeks, showed up yet again. While Kevin brought eggs to the table Pilar was sipping on ventis with solid performances from Josh Allen, Derrick Henry, Tee Higgins and Justin Tucker. Kevin who now has 5 losses in the last 6 weeks is now fighting not to go from first to worst in just 1 season.
Dan's Diamond Dogs dug down deep despite delivering disappointing displays...how ever it wasn't enough as The Savvy one took an early lead Thursday night with a monster 33 point game from Puka and never looked back. A LaMarvelous Comeback then finished things off on Christmas Day with a nice 22.58 point gift from Lamar to put a big bow on the week!
Seth and the Shadow Wizards were too busy sulking in a dungeon somewhere cause his team didn't even show up, 2 goose eggs and only 3 players hit double digits. Maybe if Gandolf would put down the pipe and leave the shire leaf alone, he could actually put a lineup together. On the other hand Trenton and the Duval Sliders did what you expect a top caliber team to do with Amon-Ra and Calvin Ridley putting up 20+ point games followed closely by Baker with 19.82 and Yunghoe Koo with 19.
This one was fun! A highly anticipated semi-finals match between long time rivals Kris and Willie, a game that was projected 50/50 and it lived up to all the hype. This one came down to the Monday night game between San Fran and Baltimore. With a chance for Willie to win the game, all he needed was a Brandon Aiyuk TD, but in the last 2 minutes...in the redzone...Baltimore came away with its 5th interception of the night crushing the 49'ers and the hopes and dreams of another man. Kris picked up the W punching his ticket to the Championship...and Willie probably punched a wall.
And just like that folks the Disney magic has died, the little engine that could ran out of steam, the Cinderella story has come to a halting and brutal ending. Like Loki being rag dolled by the Hulk, First Baptist Virginity Rocks was left bent over and gaping! 83.94 to 161.9 The Motorboaters put together yet another dominate performance, led by CMC and a group of receivers that have really come alive for the fantasy playoffs. Steve now looks for his second league title in 3 years despite an 8-6 regular season record.
Week 17 Match-ups and placing
Champoionship Match (1st and 2nd) Steve vs. Kris
Bronze Match (3rd an 4th) Cory vs. Willie
Still top half (5th and 6th) Seth vs. Trenton
Frienemies Match (7th and 8th) Pilar and Quan
Its not Last Place (9th and 10th) Dan and Jean
Battle for the Golden Gorilla!!! (11th and 12th) Delvron and Kevin...loser takes home the Golden Gorilla, where that thing gets to stare at your stupid ass for the year, cause a monkey could have done better at fantasy!
Well every one it's been one hell of a season. Lets finish this off strong and try and finish the year with a win! As usual best of luck to everybody, see you next week with the results!
